My Schedule

As my incredibly hectic summer is nearing the midway point I've started looking out at my late summer and fall schedule. And I've realized I have a crazy few months coming up. Here's everything I'll be doing between now and October. Some of the events I'm attending may be events you want to consider attending, too. If you're going to any of the public events, let me know and perhaps we can connect there.

August 9-12: UCC Faith Practices Curriculum Writers Conference--St. Louis, Missouri.
Not a public event.

August 20-21: 2nd Annual Spiritual Formation Retreat--West Bend, Iowa
Featured Speaker: Dan Mayes
Study Focus: 40 Ways to Pray
Register here.

August 28: School for Congregational Learning--West Des Moines, Iowa
Featured Speaker: Jose Morales & many others
Register here.
(I'll be presenting an afternoon workshop on use of social media for ministry.)

September 10-11: Midwest Youth Worker Interchange--Newton, Iowa.
Featured Speaker: Mark Riddle
Register here.

September 20-22: 2010 GMP Pastors' Conference--San Diego, California
Featured Speakers: Diana Butler Bass & Sharon Watkins
Register here.

October 9: Disciples Network Gathering (Formerly Regional Assembly)--Newton, Iowa.
More info here.

October 15-16: Subverting the Norm--Drury University--Springfield, Missouri
Featured Speakers: Peter Rollins & John Caputo
Register here.
(It's unlikely I'll be able to attend this event. But it looks intriguing enough to list as a possibility. Perhaps the opportunity might arise.)

October 20: Exploring a Call to Ministry--University of Dubuque Theological Seminary--Dubuque, Iowa.
Register here.
(I may be attending this event in support of someone considering going. If you have someone in your church who's considering a call to ministry, you should try to bring them to this.)
