Knee surgery to come soon

I am not enthused

UPDATE--5/27/08 Surgeon says no surgery after all...yet. Will undergo PT for next 5 weeks to try and heal without it. Will re-evaluate July 1. Surgery 50/50 chance then depending on how this goes. Meanwhile...I'm semi-bionic with my cool new telescoping 90 degree radius knee brace.

article picked up by Family Based Youth Ministry .org

A while back I wrote a post entitled "Our Journey Into A Youth-Pastor-Less Youth Ministry" describing the current process my congregation is developing in youth ministry. Brenda Seefeldt over at familybasedyouthministry.org has picked up this story in the form of an article series that will develop over the next year. You can view part one here. Thanks, Brenda!

church softball is a dangerous sport

Tuesday night was our first softball game of the church league season. I was playing right field (cause it's important, you know?). I took a line on a fly ball and turned left. Well, my foot went left, but my knee went right.

Doc thinks I've got either a torn MCL or a messed up Miniscus.

I sat in the MRI machine yesterday, and will find out more tomorrow or Monday.

Should have worn my cleats.

One question: Since I work for the church and was playing on the church softball team, can this technically be considered a work-related injury? ;)
