Poll results: Parenting Help

This week's poll was on the following question: At what age in a child's life do parents need the most "outside" help raising their kids? And the results were very evenly spread. 20% said 0-5 years, 30% said 6-11 years, 40% said 12-15 years, and 10% said 16-19 years. Be sure and respond to this week's reader poll.

I couldn't respond to this poll because I couldn't imagine any period when outside help isn't necessary. My kids are 6 & 10; I have also been a big source of "outside help" to a number of teenagers in my neighborhood.

Right on...I just posted this poll because I've noticed that in a few congregations I've visited there's an underlying assumption (though probably not intentional) that one particular age group is either more important, or that more help is needed, or for some other reason there's just a stronger emphasis there than on the other ages. I'm wondering why...
